We were forced to stay at the Doubletree for a stay and play soccer tournament. The staff was extremely unwelcoming and unfriendly, rude to our children. Rude to the adults. The hotel is situated in the middle of a homeless encampment, we have a view of homeless tents from our room. The rooms smell like cigarettes and mildew. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

First I want to say, all of the staff that I had interactions with were pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Aaron at the front desk was great each time I saw him. The woman who helped store our bags on checkout day was great too, I just don’t remember her name. I have no complaints about the staff We booked two rooms for a weekend to see U2 at the sphere. Bravo con was also going on so finding a room in Vegas was a huge challenge. These rooms were pricy, but we needed a place. And I guess with the remodel they upgraded because no complaints about the beds from anymore of us. We all slept great and loved the pillows. Inside the hotel we felt safe at all times. There wasn’t too much noise and everything worked. Out shower list got water quicker than I would’ve liked but we could work with it. Now the downside. The neighborhood was just awful. When our cab driver dropped us off he made sure we knew not to walk to the left outside the main entrance ever. He said we could walk to the strip during the day the other way but to be careful. He was right. We could see people using drugs out the windows and waking had to avoid some people. It was really bad. I doubt we will stay here again. It is is shame but safety in the surrounding area just doesn’t seem too safe. There are so many other places to stay.

This is a basic property with a high nightly rate relative to other options booked in advance. In this instance I was forced to take this after Priceline failed to secure my reservation at another property (booked 3 months in advance - AVOID PRICELINE). This property had no onsite food options, a cup of coffee was $5, they would not store my freezer bricks overnight (citing health department regulations - which is a lie because we did it without any problem at another hotel in Las Vegas a few days earlier), the wifi service was basically non-existent in terms of bandwidth, one elevator was out of service the morning we checked out, and the air conditioner in the room was basically full on or full off (making for all night temperature swings). The only good things I can say about this hotel is that the parking was free and they gave me a cookie.

Unfriendly receptionists

Always first impression last, I did my staycation. Locals from Las Vegas. Hotel receptionists were not even smiling, didn’t tell us if cookies were free. There’s one guy very nice and told me it was free and part of complimentary. I had been to different hotels in Vegas and California, this hotel was very odd. From unfriendly receptionists to not explaining things. If you asked questions, seemed their faces would make you frown looks. I had to ask Colgate and toothbrush since it’s not available inside the hotel room. Cleaners were very friendly, I gave them good tips that they deserved, but some receptionists needed to be trained and reminded to smile. I don’t know if they’re like allergic to Asian-American people, but hopefully not. I thought it was a big mistake coming here.

The staff is polite, helpful and professional on all shifts and in all positions. It was hot!! 114 degrees every day but the staff did not complain. No pool but i don’t use the pool so no bother. Gym was clean and the equipment worked which was a huge plus. The entire place and rooms are clean and the rooms have refrigerators, a great TV, Wi-Fi, toiletries, an iron and a blow dryer. No restaurant or coffee shop due to a remodel which I heard had been going on a while, but not a problem, Instacart to the rescue. And staff rolls out a drink cart at night so anyone who wants an adult beverage can get one without leaving. The neighborhood is challenging. There are many people who are using drugs, camping all around the hotel and creating a climate of unease and fear for those that venture out. However, the hotel is an oasis. Not one safety or security issue in the week I stayed so kudos to the hotel security staff. Not close to the strip and not a good walking neighborhood but who wants to walk when it’s 114 degrees outside? There are a few restaurants close by but delivery is probably the best bet. It was a business trip and I got what I needed so I am a satisfied customer.
